What is Board and Batten?

Board and batten siding.

A classic vertical siding detail - wide boards, narrow strips covering the seams. It’s a detail that is simple and elegant. Yet also cozy and informal. You’ve probably seen it a lot in farmhouse style, but its a truly versatile detail.

Also my company name.

And yes - my logo is surfboards that are also proportional dividers set to the golden section. I have a master's degree in classical architecture and I named my practice after a siding detail. I understand that’s a certain niche.
